Since 1929, Posillipo Italian Restaurant has been serving traditional and authentic Italian cuisine in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The restaurant's cuisine originates from the town of Posillipo in Naples, Italy, which is the city of origin of Felix Giordano, the restaurant's first owner and founder.

It wasn't until the 1970s where Dr. Carl Sammarco took possession of Posillipo, where he continued to cook and preserve the taste and love for Italian cuisine in every dish. It was then that Chef David Espinosa joined the Posillipo family and discovered his passion for Italian cuisine working in collaboration with Dr. Carl Sammarco.
